This initial project not only proved their ability to transform underutilized properties but also built the credibility and trust needed to secure future opportunities. From there, they expanded into residential homes and large-scale developments, consistently seizing opportunities wherever they arose.
A Focus on Downtown Gainesville
Ken and Linda are most renowned for their pivotal role in redeveloping downtown Gainesville. Their projects, including the Sun Center and other iconic spaces, revitalized the area, creating hubs for business, entertainment, and community engagement. They took on challenging projects, such as converting a country and western barn into vibrant office spaces, and demonstrated a passion for preservation and thoughtful development.

By generating two megawatts of solar power and designing energy-efficient buildings, they cut utility costs by half compared to competitors. Their adventurous spirit is matched by Ken’s military background, which saw him as a test paratrooper and later a weightless flyer in the “Vomit Comet.” Linda, while equally accomplished, prefers less adrenaline-inducing pursuits, focusing instead on skiing and scuba diving.

Ken and Linda’s story is one of resilience, determination, and innovation. They began with no financial safety net, working seven days a week, 12 hours a day, to build their empire. From overcoming recessions to navigating challenges like theft and financing hurdles, they’ve emerged as industry trailblazers. Today, their developments house more than 350 tech professionals and have supported ventures ranging from augmented reality entertainment to groundbreaking pharmaceutical programs.
